View from the Room: Q Hotel, Wellington

We had no view from the room on this one but location-wise, the Q is excellent. It is on the main street making it the ideal base to explore Wellington. It is a tiny, sleepy city so it was good to be in the heart of it, although there is no little late-night supermarket (after 10) handy!
Our room is pretty spacious with two double beds with a long desk/dressing table (for displaying all the 40th birthday cards) with a couple of comfy chairs alongside the desk chair. There’s good lighting all-round plus spare bedding in the cupboard. We didn’t get to use the kitchenette in our time although having a fridge is essential to me.

Storage-wise there are about 8 quality wooden hangers in a single wardrobe and sufficient shelving and drawers to look after us for four nights.
The bathroom has a good size bath with jets and the all-important heated towel rail so we didn’t need to have them changed.
The service was great and on the other side of the hotel, we had use of coin-operated washing machine and dryer and were able to buy a small laundry detergent box from reception.
